CASE OF EMERGENCY ALWAYS DIAL 9-1-1

Call 9-1-1 when:

  • you require the immediate response of police, fire and/or an ambulance
  • you have a life threatening situation
  • you need to report a fire or other dangerous situation
  • a crime is in progress

If you know someone who does not speak English, tell them they can still call 9-1-1. Multi-language translation services are available when needed.

Do not call 9-1-1 for non-emergencies, these calls are a serious issue because they delay 9-1-1 communicators from dealing with emergency calls.  Do not call call 9-1-1 to find non-emergency numbers for fire, police, or ambulance.
