Roads And Parks Maintenance
The Roads and Parks Maintenance Department is responsible for a variety of activities in the parks, on and around roads, in the storm drainage system and on all City owned trees.
The parks require maintenance on turf, park related facilities, bike paths, ball diamonds, soccer fields, football/rugby fields and playground structures.
Road system maintenance goes beyond the paved roads to include boulevards, streetlights, traffic signals, traffic signs and winter control.
The bridges, culverts, catch basins, underground storm sewer pipe and creeks are all maintained as part of the storm drainage system.
Forestry operations include tree trimming, removals, planting and participation in site plan approvals.
In conjunction with the City of Burlington, the Region of Halton is responsible for such services as; Recycling & Waste, Water & Waste Water Treatment and Tap Water Quality.
