Reporting to the Manager of Committee Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of challenging assignments. Committee Clerks are part of the staff team that provides a full range of administrative and procedural support to Standing Committees (Community Development, Community and Corporate Services, Audit, Budget and Strategic Planning) and Citizen Committees (such as Burlington Transit Advisory Committee, Mayor’s Seniors Advisory Committee and the Burlington Cycling Committee). The work involves regular contact with members of City Council and senior staff as well as a unique opportunity to view department roles from a corporate perspective... Attendance at evening meetings is required.
Excellent communication skills and commitment to citizen awareness and involvement will be required on a daily basis. The successful candidate must have at least two years of experience in municipal government and strong organizational and computer skills. Completion of a community college diploma and completion of, or enrolment in the AMCTO Municipal Administration Program is expected... Familiarity with the Municipal Act and Planning Act is an asset.
The salary range for this position is $54,384 - minimum to $67,980 - job rate.

These positions report to the Summer Senior Programmer or the Recreation Coordinator. Summer Program Leaders are responsible for planning and implementing creative and varied programs to meet the needs and interests of all participants. You will be responsible for the safety and supervision of participants both on and offsite and are expected to implement and participate in activities...
The preferred candidate will have previous experience working in a camp setting and/or working with children/teens. All candidates must be 15 years of age or older.
- Summer Neighbourhood Activity Program (S.N.A.P) - For children aged 5-10 years.
- Youth Programs - Programs for youth aged 9-14 years.
- Diversity Programs - Working with special needs children, teens and young adults aged 5- 21 years.
The position will be at various locations in Burlington for up to eight weeks, plus one week of training. Hours worked will be approximately 30-40 hours per week. The hourly rate is $10.50.
