Burlington Chemical Association

Established in 1986, the Burlington Chemical Association (BCA) recognizes the need and right of the public to know the risks associated with the manufacturing, warehousing, packing or transportation of chemicals throughout the City of Burlington.

All member companies will ensure that operations do not present an unacceptable level of risk to employees, customers, the public or the environment.

The objectives are to have a better?informed public regarding chemicals and a community emergency response plan for handling all emergencies.

Currently the BCA includes some 30 members from local chemical manufacturers and users within the Halton Region.

Burlington Fire Department

The Burlington Fire Department is committed to the protection of lives, property, and the environment through Fire Prevention, Public Education, and Emergency Response, utilizing all available resources in an efficient and effective manner.

Burlington Roads and Parks Maintenance Department (RPM)

RPM is responsible for the maintenance of City parks, playing fields, roads, traffic signals, snow removal, storm drainage system, and all City owned trees.

Canadian Red Cross

The Canadian Red Cross helps people deal with situations that threaten; their survival and safety; their security and well?being; their human dignity, in Canada and around the world.

Citizen Volunteers

Thanks to the citizens of the City of Burlington who have volunteered their time and expertise to work on this committee.

Community Care Access Centre (CCAC)

The Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) of Halton is dedicated to providing ease of access to high quality consumer focused community, personal support and health care services that are required by people throughout their life span who, because of a disability, illness, or aging, need help to function as independently as possible.

Emergency Measures Ontario

Emergency Measures Ontario (EMO) is responsible for monitoring, co?ordinating and assisting in the formulation and implementation of emergency management programs in Ontario.

Halton Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

Halton EMS provides ambulance services to the Region of Halton. They are continuously committed to enhancing service delivery by reducing ambulance response times and expanding the skills of paramedics. Through educational and public awareness programs Halton EMS is very active in promoting safety and injury prevention. They stress the importance of citizen CPR and provide mass public training sessions throughout the region. Halton EMS is also co-ordinating the development of the Public Access Defibrillation program for the region.

Halton Region Emergency Planning

Halton Region Emergency Planning is continually working with all community partners to raise the level of emergency preparedness across the Region. It is through these combined efforts that we can ensure a comprehensive guide and plan of action is in place to address any emergency ? natural or manmade ? while ensuring that the services provided by the Regional government continue uninterrupted.

Halton Regional Police Service

The Halton Regional Police Service, in partnership with its community, will contribute to safety and well?being by pursuing excellence through: a professional and motivated workforce representative of the community; fiscally responsible community driven policing services and prevention programs; sensitive and responsible law enforcement; investigative expertise and visible presence.

St. John Ambulance

Our mission is to enable Canadians to improve their health, safety and quality of life by providing training and community service.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army's mission is to supply basic human needs, provide personal counselling and undertake the spiritual and moral regeneration and physical rehabilitation of all persons in need who come within its sphere of influence regardless of race, colour, creed, sex or age.
