Reptile Rangers Camp

Discovery Landing – The Observatory (7-12yrs)

Do you love all creatures - especially creepy, crawly, scaly ones? Be a Reptile Ranger at this new day camp. Learn about reptiles and insects by interacting with real snakes, lizards, tarantulas and more! Of course there will be fun camp activities such as fun games, cool crafts and field trips but with a reptile theme. Learn about the environment and how you can protect our world and the animals we share our planet with.

Celebrate Burlington’s Buskers

June 21st to October 11th

10:00 a.m - 9:00p.m

 Buskers will be performing in five different areas located in Burlington's down town core.

So what are buskers? Traditional busker types include: musicians, comedians, jugglers, variety artists, sidewalk artists (sketching, painting, ect), balloon sculptors or performers of any type of art that can be appreciated by pedestrians.

2nd Annual Discover Sandcastles Festival…

Saturday, August 14th 10am – 4pm
The Beachway
Free fun for all ages*!

Join us for Day 1 of the Children's Festival on the Beachway for Sandcastle fun!

Sandcastle Demonstrations and Workshop

Master Sculptor Sandi Castle begins the day by creating a 7 foot sand sculpture and then will lead a workshop sharing some of best tips and tricks. 

Master Sculptor Karen Fralich will be building a sand sculpture and answering your questions throughout the day.

Activities this year include the return of face painting and tattoos, awesome performances, games, local talent and more fun to be announced...

3rd Annual Discover Sandcastles Competition

Back by popular demand! Be sure to register to reserve your spot on the beach to sculpt today. Great prizes in all three categories including a sandcastle trophy for first prize for children, adults, and family and participation gifts too! Judges include Master Sculptors Sandi Castle and Karen Fralich, and local children's author Sylvia McNicoll. *Register beginning Spring 2010:

Judging begins at 3pm and you can be a judge too: Vote for the People's Choice Award! Award ceremony on the beach at 4pm.

Join us for day 2 of the Children’s Festival, located at the Waterfront at Downtown Burlington. Celebrate the joyous spirit and energy of your children at play!  Storytelling, crafts, live entertainment, fun activities, play zones, and cuddly mascots make this a wonderful, fun filled day for sharing, learning and discovery for the whole family.
