Facility Space Allocation Process
We are committed to a fair and balanced allocation of public recreational spaces in order to sustain and enhance the availability of a range of accessible recreation and leisure participation opportunities for all Burlington residents. Recognizing the ever changing landscape and increased demand for recreational services, we are responsive to community needs and our recreational facilities and services are delivered in a fair and equitable manner.
The following Facility Types are available through the Space Allocation Process:
- Arena ice/floor
- Gyms (including Burlington Schools)
- Meeting/multipurpose rooms
- Playfields
- Pools
Facility Space Allocation - Fall/Winter/Spring Season
New FWS bulk user groups wanting to book facilities on an on-going basis during the Fall/Winter/Spring season must submit a space request between January 9, 2012 and February 3, 2012 for the upcoming 2012-13 Fall Winter Spring season. Applications submitted after Friday, February 3, 2012 will be accepted but considered late.
New in season bulk space requests will be processed based on availability. Please fill out the Seasonal Space Request Application Form in the Application Form section below.
Facility Space Allocation - Summer Season
New Summer bulk user groups wanting to book facilities on an on-going basis during the Summer season must submit a space request between October 10, 2011 and November 4, 2011 for the upcoming 2012 Summer season. Applications submitted after November 4, 2011 will be accepted but considered late.
New in season bulk space requests will be processed based on availability. Please fill out the Seasonal Space Request Application Form in the Application Form section below.
Returning seasonal bulk user groups
Existing bulk user groups permitted by the City of Burlington during the previous Summer or Fall/Winter/Spring season, will be contacted by City employees regarding their next season bulk space allocation.
For Summer 2012 you will be contacted in November 2011
For FWS 2012-13 you will be contacted in March 2012
In season bulk user amendments
If you require changes to your permits once the bulk allocation process is completed, contact the Customer Service Team by sending an e-mail to recschedule@burlington.ca and include the following information to your request:
- Your name
- Name of the Organization you represent
- Phone Number you can be reached
- Facility or Facility Type requested
- Prefered Dates
- Prefered Times
- Special Instructions (if required)
One time booking (non bulk)
If you are requesting a one-time booking for Fall/Winter 2011-12 or Summer 2011 that is of a social nature (birthday party, anniversary, etc.), please use the Rental Application Form (link below)
