Facility Space Allocation Process
Welcome to the City of Burlington’s Space Allocation Process. We are committed to a fair and balanced allocation of public recreational spaces in order to sustain and enhance the availability of a range of accessible recreation and leisure participation opportunities for all Burlington residents.
Recognizing the ever changing landscape and increased demand for recreational services, the City of Burlington wants to ensure that we are responsive to community needs and our recreational facilities and services are delivered in a fair and equitable manner.
This process must be adhered to by users wishing to utilize any of the following facility space:
- Arena ice / floor
- Community centre
- Schools / gyms
- City / school multi purpose space
- Pools.
Facility Space Allocation - 2010 - 2011 Fall / Winter / Spring
2010 - 2011 Fall / Winter/ Spring Space Requests are now being accepted for NEW bulk users (not a renter of facility space in Fall / Winter / Spring 2009 - 2010), and for one-time annual renters.
Deadline for Applications: November 7, 2010
Summer 2010 is now "In-Season"; space requests will be processed based on availability. Please use the seasonal space request application form, through the link below.
If you are requesting a one-time booking for Fall/Winter/Spring 2010-2011 that is of a social nature (birthday party, anniversary, etc.), please use the one-time Space Request Application. If you are requesting the same type of booking for Summer 2011, your application will be kept on file, but will not be considered until after our bulk allocation process has been completed. See "Process at a Glance" (link below) for timelines. Again, the one-time rental form should be used for this purpose.
The deadline has passed for submission of Fall/Winter/Spring 2010-2011 Space Requests for NEW bulk users and one-time annual renters. The deadline was March 5, 2010. Please still submit your request as space may become available.
