2008 Approved Budget
Burlington residents have been asked to take an active role in helping to shape our community’s future by participating in this year’s 2008 budget.
There are two main components to the city’s budget: the capital budget, which the city sets aside to cover the costs of building and renewing our libraries, roads, parks, recreational centres, arenas, pools and seniors’ centres; and the current budget, which covers the costs of maintaining such important city services as libraries, recreational centres, public transit, parks, snow removal, road maintenance and fire services.
There are many opportunities to get involved in this year’s budget process.
