Who We Are
The Burlington Inclusivity Advisory Committee is established as an advisory committee to Burlington City Council to provide a monitoring and measuring role to help ensure that the City applies an inclusion lens to its policies, services and programs.

- COUNCIL DECISION: DIRECTION FOR THE BURLINGTON INCLUSIVITY ADVISORY COMMITTEE’S CIVIC ENGAGEMENT FORUM RECOMMENDATIONS - Direct the City Manager to report back on the Burlington Inclusivity Advisory Committee’s report findings and recommendations in conjunction with the Mayors Citizens Advisory Committee on Civic Engagement - Shape Burlington report and the recommendations from the Council workshops on Civic Engagement held May 20 and June 17, 2010.
Committee Representation
The Inclusivity Citizen Advisory Committee is comprised of 12 members representing citizens or community stakeholders, one Council representative and staff for support.
Burlington Civic Engagement Forum
The Burlington Inclusivity Advisory Committee (BIAC) hosted the Civic Engagement Forum on Saturday May 1, 2010 where input was received regarding volunteerism, local governance and community problem solving in Burlington and to solicit responses on ways to enhance civic engagment through these avenues. The keynote speaker was John Tory, Chair of the Toronto Summit Alliance. Proposals from this Forum will be used to make recommendations to Council and to inform the BIAC's future work plan.
