New Ice Pads Now Open!

The expansion project at Appleby Ice Centre has now reached substantial completion.

Appleby will host a full schedule of public and family skates, shinny programs, figure skating and hockey. A celebration for the community, including ice users and dignitaries, is being planned for late 2010.

The Appleby Ice Centre expansion has added about 66,000 square feet (6,132 square metres) and two 200 by 85-foot (61 by 26-metre ) ice pads to the facility. It is a designed to a LEED basic certification for energy efficiency.
