With a focus on wellness, development and quality of living, Student Theatre continues to offer a range of performing arts opportunities. Since 1978, Student Theatre has been a Place to Learn, To Grow and To Belong. It's a positive choice for today's youth.


Create Confidence- 2011-12 season

This fall, join the popular Student Theatre program that has been serving Burlington for 34 years. Students gain so much- expanded awareness, self-discipline, and cooperative bonds, in addition to skills including enhanced creativity, confidence, concentration, voice and speech, focus, self-expression and more!

  • Little Performers (Grades 1-13) : Mondays from 6:30 to 8pm
  • Juniors (Grades 4-5 ) : Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30pm
  • Intermediates (Grades 6-7) : Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:30pm

Show: Spring Salute- Free to be You and Me- April 2012

  • Seniors (Grades 8-12) Thursdays from 6:15 to 9:15pm plus some Saturday rehearsals
  • Information on Student Theatre programs are located in the Fall/Winter Live & Play Guide which can be found at any city facility.

Mainstage- South Pacific *- May 2012

  • Please note: New Payment Option: Monthly payment plan is now available for full year registrants (Sep 2011-Apr 2012). Must register at Tansley Woods or City Hall. Post dated payments by credit card or cheque required at time of registration.
  • Select performances in the New Burlington Performing Arts Centre.

2011 Student Theatre in Our Community

With a variety of great performanes and civic engagement activities, Burlington Student Theatre supports activities that strengthen the cultural fabric of the community.  Last season, the groups assisted at over 25 community events including:

  • New Year's Eve Celebration
  • Performing Arts Burlington Gala
  • Carpenter Hospice Fundraising Gala
  • Earth Day at the Labyrinth

Celebrate with us!

What is your favorite memory of Student Theatre? To celebrate, we are asking alumni to share their favorite people, places, things.

It's true, Student Theatre is getting set to celebrate 35 in 2012.

In preparation, we are looking for 35 ST "Favorite Things".

As Alumni, you've experienced some of your life's most important moments growing up at ST- you've forged friendships, found inspirations, collaborated, struggled, succeeded and reveled in shows and people.

What was YOUR favorite thing?

Facilities

Located in Optimist Park, Student Theatre is the location for practice and rehearsals for the youth drama program. It features program space, rehearsal hall, tech booth, makeup, costume and prop rooms. The upper level is accessible by a chair lift. Washrooms are conveniently located at ground level.
