Brant Inn Node
Million Dollar Views
The Brant Inn Node links two of Burlington's busiest and most viable waterfront parks: Spencer Smith and Beachway.
This portion of the Waterfront Trail allows pedestrians and cyclists to follow a continuous 3 km path along the shoreline from the Travel Lodge to the Burlington Shipping canal. Spectacular vistas greet these visitors.
Other special features include:
- Extension of the wide Promenade walkway
- Three lookout points
- Cobble beach
- Attractive naturalized fish habitat pond
- Day-use boat tie up
Whatever the season, there is always something to experience here, from the on-shore breeze and the moon rising on a balmy summer's eve to the powerful wave impact upon the shore walls on a blustery winter's day.
Completion of the shoreline work has set the stage for the second phase of construction which will feature development of a commercial component to further enhance the site. Plans are well underway to enhance this site adding a waterfront centre with restaurant and public area, a year round water feature including a skating rink and many other amenities. Construction begins after the Sound of Music festival. The ultimate goal is to offer a variety of seasonal and year-round activities with an emphasis on recreation, food services, entertainment, culture and specialty retail attractions. Come down to the Brant Inn Node and share in the excitement of seeing the changes for yourself!
