The Bistro
The Burlington Seniors' Centre's Bistro offers a variety of drinks, snacks and nutritional lunches to our members and the community. The Bistro is open from 9am-3pm, Monday to Friday, with lunch being served between 11:30am-1:30pm. View our menu here. Please note: Daily Specials are not shown on the menu.
Memberships
Membership is open to Burlington residents aged 55 or older for an annual fee of $36.00 each (includes HST). Non-resident memberships are accepted at a $48.00 annual fee (includes HST) Membership is valid for 12 months from purchase date and renewable annually from that date.
The Centre is a place to participate in just about any leisure activity possible. By creating a welcoming, stimulating and happy atmosphere, Burlington seniors can enjoy the maximum level of physical and mental well-being and....have fun too! No one 55 or better, under any circumstances, needs to miss out on health, fun and fitness. You'll be pleasantly surprised and quickly agree that we have spirit, energy and good times to offer you.

Membership entitles you to:
- Take part in programs (subject to registration and applicable fees) and activities
- Attend drop-in programs
- Attend instructional classes
- Travel on day trips
- Attend social events - parties, dances, dinners etc.
- Have a vote at the Annual General Meeting
- Be eligible to hold office on the Volunteer Board of Management or one of its Committees
- Keep updated with the latest information on items such as local initiatives, health care, community support and social services
- Visit the lounge and use the library
- Meet lots of new friends
- Receive a quarterly newsletter
- Have a direct link with local government through the Parks & Recreation Department and the Mayor's Seniors' Advisory Committee
- Discover a new hobby/skill/talent
- Become involved in meaningful volunteer work
Facility
The facility provides:
- Lounge area for casual socializing
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Large auditorium with stage and sound equipment for social and other activities. The auditorium can be divided to accomodate two programs at one time.
- Multi-purpose rooms with divider to house various size programs
- Arts & Crafts room
- Snooker area with three tables
- Games room
- Outdoor patio

If you are planning a party, a wedding, a meeting or any other activity, consider the Burlington Seniors' Centre. WiFi at the Burlington Seniors’ Centre!
WiFi allows wireless connectivity to the Internet, using either a laptop computer or a PDA device. Anyone with the equipment can use it. The service will be available in our meeting rooms and lounge area (washrooms and unsupervised areas will not have WiFi access). This convenient service is free and offers a family-friendly, safe enhancement to the services offered in our facilities.
Programs
Over 100 Programs run for varying lengths in the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer seasons are available.
We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express and Debit Card for all programs.
Registration can be done in person at our Seniors' Centre or by using RecExpress, the online registration service.
Seniors' Centre Social Events
Social events at the Centre take place throughout the year. Barbecues, variety shows, concerts, theme dinners with entertainment, craft sales and bazaars are all planned and offered to the membership by volunteers! Refer to the Events Calendar for event details.

Funds are available to assist with the payment of programs & memberships. All inquiries are always handled with absolute confidentiality! The City administers this fund which is sponsored by the Burlington Seniors' Centre Board of Management.
Seniors' Centre Volunteer Opportunities
One sure way to meet new people, have fun and use your skills (whatever they are!) is by volunteering at the Centre. A wide variety of volunteer opportunities exist:
- Front desk reception
- Committee work
- Kitchen help
- Helping at social events
- Computer - teaching peers
- Media contact help with Public Relations
- Bookkeeping
- Money counting
- Budgeting and financial reporting with our Treasurer
- Leading programs

2007 Expansion & Renovation
In 2007, the expansion was completed and includes an additional 5,199 sq. ft. of new space and approximatley 918 sq. ft. of renovated space to accommodate the growth rate in both membership and community use. The new space includes:
- New multi purpose rooms (1,893 sq. ft.): Port Nelson & Wellington rooms
- New meeting/program space (1,150 sq. ft.): Indian Point & Freeman rooms
- New and renovated washrooms
- New lobby and entrance
- Games Room
- Enlarged kitchen area
- Updated lounge
- Arts & Crafts room
- Computer room
The Burlington Seniors' Centre is updated, bright, clean and airy-looking.
