City residents invited to open house for proposed new property standards bylaw

BURLINGTON, ON – The City of Burlington’s planning and building department will host an open house to provide an overview of the city’s proposed new Property Standards Bylaw.

A meeting to review the proposed new bylaw will take place in City Hall, room 247, 2nd Floor, 426 Brant St., on:

6:30 – 8 p.m.

A brief presentation by staff will begin at 6:45 p.m. followed by a question and answer period.

The new bylaw contains major changes to the existing bylaw including:

  • Applying the bylaw to all properties;
  • A new designated heritage property section;
  • Addressing the issue of graffiti and
  • Indicating required lighting for underground parking garages.
