Sing Your Heart Out! Is our annual sing competition for high school students! Come represent you High school.

Semi – Finals at Thrown’ the horns (Ron Edward’s YMCA) on April 29, 2011

At Climber’s Rock (5155 Harvester Road)
Ages: 14 – 18 yrs
Cost: $2 admission at the door, $2.00 for shoe rental, Climber’s Rock will provide the harness.
**Climb as much as you want between 4 – 8 pm. Staff will be available to instruct and belay
** Parent’s must sign waiver

How to get involved…in Burlington Youth Week

The Burlington Youth Week Committee is committed to identifying and facilitating opportunities for youth to engage in their community, by coordinating the organization of low or no cost activities during International Youth Week ( May 1-7th) each year.

Ways you or your organization can involved

1) Event Provider:

The organization plans and runs an event for youth during May 1 – 7. The event is usually low or no cost. The Youth Week Committee starts organizing the week’s events at their first meeting in November.

Benefits – Celebrating International Youth Week, Providing youth with low or no cost activities, promotion for your organization

If you are interested in running an event for Youth please email youthteen@burlington.ca

2) Member of the Steering Committee: 

All committee members work in collaboration with the other organizations within the committee to develop, create, facilitate, and deliver activities that promote youth engagement and involvement within the community. Attend monthly meetings and to work independently to complete task assigned.

3) Donations/Sponsors:

Donating or Sponsoring Youth Week can be very helpful. Your organization can donate items or funds to help run Youth Week. Some examples would be:

· Sponsoring for transportation for the youth to and from the events

· Sponsoring an organization by renting the facilities so they can run their activities

· Donating prizes for the competitions (singing contest). We appreciate any donations. We always accept SWAG for the youth to promote the events and organizations.
