For Immediate Release - Sept. 18, 2009
BURLINGTON, ON – To respond to a growing demand for information about a pain management clinic to be located on Plains Road in Aldershot, an information meeting to be held Monday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. has been moved to Holy Rosary School.
The location at 261 Plains Rd. at Gallagher Road can hold more than 400 people. The meeting was originally planned for St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, and then for LaSalle Pavilion which holds about 300 people.
“I have received e-mail requests to move this meeting to a larger location, and I understand Mayor Cam Jackson has also received these requests,” said Councillor Rick Craven who is hosting the meeting. “There is a great amount of interest in this matter and many people have said they plan to attend to get their information firsthand.”
The city’s Community Development Committee will review a staff report from the planning and building department on Oct. 5. City Council will then review the report on Oct. 19. To register as a delegation at either of these meetings, contact the City of Burlington’s Clerks department at 905-335-7600, ext 7458.
