Liquor Licence


A liquor licence is a Provincial licence to permit the sales of liquor within an establishment. The City of Burlington has a small part in the licence process. For more information on the licensing process refer to the Guide to Applying for a Liquor Licence. All liquor licences are approved by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) - A provincial, quasi-judicial regulatory agency that reports to the Ministry of Government Services, and is responsible for the administration of the following: Liquor Licence Act, Gaming Control Act, Wine Content and Labeling Act, Liquor Control Act, and the Charity Lottery Licensing Order-in-Council.

  2. Changes or Additions to Existing Licensed Areas
  3. Temporary Extension
  4. Special Occasion Permit
