Burlington Seniors' Advisory Committee

The Burlington Seniors' Advisory Committee is established as an advisory committee to Burlington City Council to represent seniors' perspectives on municipal policies, services and programs.

Terms of Reference

Mandate

  • Represent Burlington seniors' perspectives on municipal and other key seniors issues (ie. transportation, isolation, affordability, parks & recreation services, geographical service delivery)
  • Provide a voice for Burlington seniors, exchanging information about current issues and emerging concerns
  • Provide input to City staff as requested and to the Regional ESAC on an ongoing basis
  • Respond to the community’s seniors' needs, subject to the evolution of relationships with other groups, such as the Burlington Civic Panel
  • Work toward identified goals as outlined in an annual work plan (work plan may include; hosting seniors' discussion forums, support strategic planning for development of local seniors' services, public information)
