Recreational Trail Upgrades

Upgrading of recreational trails at Cavendish Park, Duncaster Park and Hidden Valley Park

In 2009 the City of Burlington was very fortunate to be awarded Recreational Infrastructure Canada (RInC) funding for upgrading recreational trails at Cavendish Park, Duncaster Park and Hidden Valley Park. These improvement projects are now complete.

Cavendish Park

The trail upgrades at Cavendish Park are now complete. The work involved resurfacing the existing pathway.

Duncaster Park

Improvements to the trails at Duncaster Park are now complete. The improvements include:

  • Resurfacing of the existing trails
  • Installation of a new staircase at Duncaster Drive, and
  • Bank stabilization at the existing pedestrian bridge.
Hidden Valley Park

Improvements to the trails at Hidden Valley Park are complete. The improvements include:

  • Resurfacing of the existing trails
  • Planting of native trees and shrubs
  • Installation of vehicular access control, and
  • Installation of way finding signs.
