Tickets available for Civic Recognition Awards Celebration

BURLINGTON, ON – On Thursday, May 20 take part in the celebration as the City of Burlington recognizes excellence in our community during the Civic Recognition Awards. Tickets are still available for the awards reception being held at the Burlington Convention Centre at 1120 Burloak Dr.

The following awards will be presented honouring Burlington’s 2009 volunteers:

• Arts Person of the Year
• Environmental Award
• Senior Person of the Year
• Community Service Award
• Junior Citizen of the Year
• Citizen of the Year

Tickets are $25 each and are available in person from the Clerks Department at City Hall, by phone at 905-335-7600, ext. 7493, or by e-mail jonessuzanne@burlington.ca. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the awards ceremony starting at 7:30 p.m.
