Our Role

The role of Purchasing Services is to provide a centralized, corporate wide, strategic purchasing perspective, to administer the Procurement By-law, set procurement policies, guidelines, procurement procedures and to administer all RFP's, and non-construction quotes & tenders over $20,000.

The Engineering Department has delegated authority to administer quotes & tenders for construction projects over $20,000.

All City Departments have delegated authority to administer their own procurement of goods and services under $20,000.
