  1. Q: How do I make a request for information relating to property in Burlington?
    A: Please see the Building Department's Application and Publications page and download the Property Information Request form.
  2. Q: What Real Estate Services do you provide?
    A: The Property Section of the Legal Department is responsible for the appraisal, acquisition and disposal of all city-owned real estate. We are also involved in the calculation of park dedication requirements for new developments. For more information, e-mail Ron Steiginga.
  3. Q: When will a Notary Public/Commissioner be available?
    A: The Legal Department provides legal services to the Corporation and does not notarize or commission documents. Please refer to the yellow pages of your local phone book under "lawyers" for a listing of lawyers offering this service.

  4. Q: Can you answer questions regarding personal legal matters? Do you provide Legal Aid?
    A: The Legal Department cannot give advice regarding personal legal matters. Please contact a lawyer in private practice or if you cannot afford a lawyer, you can phone the Legal Aid Office for assistance.
