City of Burlington’s hours for Thanksgiving weekend


Burlington, Ont. – Oct. 4, 2011— Holiday hours will be in effect for City of Burlington programs and services on the Thanksgiving long weekend. City Hall will be closed on Monday, Oct. 10 and will reopen on Tuesday, Oct. 11. During this time, a number of city administrative services will not be available.


Activities at Parks and Recreation facilities including city pools, arenas and community centres vary over the Thanksgiving weekend. A recreation schedule is available on the city’s website and in the City Update section of Thursday’s Burlington Post. Please contact the location for more information about swim/skate/recreation schedules.


Burlington Transit and HandiVan service will operate a Sunday service schedule on Monday, Oct. 10. The administration offices including the downtown transit terminal will be closed. Roads and Parks Maintenance will provide basic and emergency service over the Thanksgiving holiday; however, the office will be closed on Monday, Oct. 10. For questions about roads and parks maintenance please call 905-333-6166 during seasonal hours of operation, 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
