Christmas Parade
Santa Claus is coming to Town
Sunday December 5th, 2010 - 2 p.m.
Hosted by the City of Burlington and local Rotary Clubs, this annual Christmas Parade features 65 entries including bands, colourful floats, clowns, mascots and jolly St. Nick himself.
The Burlington Teen Tour Band Boosters will be collecting non-perishable food items to support local food banks. Children are encouraged to bring their letters for Santa for collection during the parade by Canada Post letter carriers.
Remember to help support the efforts of the volunteer committee who organize the parade by contributing a loonie or toonie. Representatives of the Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club will be collecting on behalf of the committee during the parade.
The parade starts near the Burlington Mall at the corner of Prospect Street and Guelph Line, marches along Guelph Line to New Street, travels west along New Street to James Street, then north on Brant Street. The parade route finishes at Brant Street and Caroline.
For those travelling to or around the parade route please remember to proceed with caution and obey all parking regulations and street signage. In order to ensure that emergency routes are kept open, illegally parked vehicles could be tagged and towed. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
This event is co-sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Burlington. Festive fun for all ages!
