Photo Opportunity – Arbor Day tree planting at John T. Tuck Public School


Burlington, Ont. April 19, 2012 - Join Burlington Mayor Rick Goldring, Ward 4 Councillor Jack Dennison at John T. Tuck Public School on Tuesday, April 24, as students, staff and parents celebrate Arbor Day with a series of special presentations followed by the planting of a variety of small trees on the school grounds.

  • Where: John T. Tuck Public School, 3365 Spruce Ave., Burlington
  • Why: To celebrate Arbor Day with presentations and tree plantings

Tree planting events raise public awareness of the benefits that trees provide to all of us, including the oxygen we breathe, the shade they offer and their beauty. The City of Burlington encourages all residents to help our environment and plant a tree.

Partners in this project include the City of Burlington, Halton District School BoardLandscape Ontario, Jack Astor's Bar and Grill, and the Field and Stream Rescue Team as well as the many students, teachers, parents and community representatives who will take part in the planting.
