Aldershot Community Storm Water Master Plan
Aldershot Community Storm Water Master Plan
The City of Burlington has initiated a study for the development of a Storm Water Master Plan for the Aldershot Copmmunity. The study is intended to develop a comprehensive storm water (quantity and quality) master servicing plan for the area that will address current and future development needs. As such, the City intends to evaluate the storm water drainage patterns and system in the area to identify possible sewer outlets, any potential drainage issues, creek erosion, assess the impact of future infill development or re-development on the drainage system, identify limitations to development intensification (if they exist), explore storm water management opportunities (controlling the quality and quantity of stormwater) and develop strategies to mitigate the impacts of development intensification. The study area is generally bounded by Plains Road to the North, King Road to the East, LaSalle Park Road to the West and Lake Ontario to the South. Public input during the study is encouraged. A Public Information Centre (PIC) has been scheduled to provide additional information on the master plan study, answer questions regarding the project, present the stormwater management alternatives being evaluated, and solicit feedback and comments. The PIC is scheduled for:
Thursday, July 5, 2012
Aldershot Arean, 494 Townsend Drive (Community Room)
6:30pm to 8 p.m.
