City of Burlington’s hours for Labour Day weekend


Burlington, Ont., Aug. 28, 2012— Holiday hours are in effect for City of Burlington programs and services on the Labour Day long weekend. City Hall will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3, and will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 4. During this time, a number of city administrative services will not be available.

Activities at Parks and Recreation facilities including city pools, arenas and community centres vary over the Labour Day long weekend. Call your local pool/arena/community centre for specific swim/skate/recreation schedules.

Burlington Transit and HandiVan Burlington Transit service changes will take effect Sunday Sept. 2. Please check our new “Holiday Schedule” for schedule information on Labour Day Monday. The administration offices, including the downtown transit terminal, will be closed Sept. 3. Call BusLINE 905-639-0550 or visit www.burlington.ca/transit for information.

Roads and Parks Maintenance RPM will provide basic and emergency service only. The office will be closed on Sept. 3.
Halton Court Services: Provincial Offences Courts will be closed on Sept. 3.

Parking Free parking is available in the downtown core at all meters, and surface lots on Sept. 3. The waterfront parking lots (east and west) do not provide free parking on statutory holidays. The parking garage will be $10 flat rate this weekend for Canada’s Largest Ribfest.
