Canada Day

The Waterfront at Downtown Burlington - Spencer Smith Park

 Join Burlington in Celebrating our Canadian Heritage!

Bring on your national pride and explore the abundance of activities and musical entertainment all day long "Canadian Style" at the Waterfront at Downtown Burlington's Spencer Smith Park. Performances on 2 stages, children's activities throughout the day, plus the Scholars in Collars dog training show. At night, bring a blanket or lawn chair, then sit back to take in the fireworks.

Event highlights:

8:30 am        Canada Day 5km run

9:30 am        Pancake breakfast compliments of the Golden Griddle (while supplies last)

11:30 am       Citizenship Court

1:00 pm        Opening Ceremonies

10:00 pm       Fireworks Display

Special Events Notes:

  • Please obey all parking regulations. Downtown parking is limited.
  • Visitors to special events are encouraged to leave their pets at home.
  • Cyclists are asked to dismount and walk their bikes along the waterfront at Spencer Smith Park. Cyclists can utilize the MEC bike corral, available at the park for safe storage of your bike while you are at the event.
