Community Volunteer Income Tax Program

If your income is low and your tax situation is simple, Canada Revenue Agency volunteers can help you complete your income tax and benefit return.

Are you eligible for this service?  You must meet eligibility requirements and be unable to complete your income tax return on your own. Volunteers will not complete income tax and benefit returns for:  Deceased persons; Bankrupt individuals; and People who have capital gains or losses, employment expenses, or business/rental income and expenses.
Income Tax Clinic at Central Library
Drop in, first-come-first-served:
Every Monday from March 3 to April 28, 9am to 3pm
Where: Holland Room, Central Library
This service was very popular last year, so be prepared to wait.

Income Tax Clinic at Alton Branch
By appointment only:
Every Saturday from March 8 to April 26, 10am to 4pm
Every Monday from March 10 to April 21, 4 to 8pm
Where: Program Room

Planning to file your return electronically? You must use Canada Revenue Agency-certified software. Some are available at no cost for people below a certain income level.



North Burlington Community Dinner

The event is FREE and everyone is welcome to attend.  A delicious dinner is on the menu every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Glad Tidings Church, 1401 Guelph Line

Seniors Luncheon

April 11, May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15

Enjoy a free lunch.  Afterwards you are welcome to stay for a game of cards, scrabble, chess, darts or pool in the games room.
