Beyond Tomorrow. Bringing Learning to Life.
Beyond Tomorrow, developed in partnership with Burlington Transit and the Halton District School Board, will make learning more relevant and enjoyable for your students by involving them in their home community. Developed after consultations with teachers and students, Beyond Tomorrow fits directly with curriculum guidelines to create a unique educational experience for Grade 7, 8 and 9 Geography students and Grade 11 Marketing students. Students will investigate real life issues in Burlington through topics ranging from roads and transportation to parks, recreation and urban growth. And they’ll have the opportunity to receive public recognition for coming up with ideas that will help create a better future. The Beyond Tomorrow program comes in two formats:

Two Curriculum-based Formats to Choose From
A full learning experience package where students develop their own class field trip, or a condensed learning experience package that includes a pre-planned field trip.
Field Trips
Burlington Transit will provide free bus trips to take your students out of the classroom and visit areas they are studying.
Prepared Lessons
Beyond Tomorrow fits directly with curriculum guidelines. All inclusive packages developed by Burlington teachers includes step-by-step teaching guidelines.
Support Material
Support material will ensure that your students’ classroom experience will be relevant and up-to-date.
